Welcome
Welcome to saucerpass.com, the newest fantasy hockey site on the web. We provide frequent updates with in-depth analysis and many different articles on various topics relating to fantasy hockey. We also have a weekly podcast in the future with news from around the NHL that week and how it all pertains to your fantasy team.
Get to know the writers
SaucerPass.com is currently operated by three fantasy hockey fanatics: Kory, Schrembs, and AJ. We decided it would be cool to start writing articles and share our general thoughts on one of our favorite hobbies: fantasy hockey. So far it has turned out well and we’re churning out quality content slowly but surely, and regularly, which will soon be including a weekly podcast. We’ve all been hockey fans for a while and have all been playing multiple types of fantasy hockey for the past several years.
About the site itself
Even though we’re a relatively new site at this point, we did start off with a pretty good stream of content, including a fantasy breakdown of every single NHL team for the 2008-2009 season. Also, at the same time we were releasing those, we had some other articles concerning how to build a solid fantasy hockey league and also some draft strategies. Below we have listed a few example articles we have published in the past.
- Fantasy Hockey League Fundamentals - This article discusses 6 fundamentals needed to create a really solid fantasy hockey league.
- Roto vs. H2H: Pros and Cons - A couple pros and cons each for rotisserie fantasy hockey format versus the head to head format.
- McCabe Traded to Florida - A quick trade news update example and its fantasy hockey relevance.
- Edmonton Oilers Fantasy Breakdown - An example of one of our fantasy breakdowns for the 2008-2009 season, this one covers Edmonton.
- Full Team Breakdowns List - Here is the collection of all fantasy hockey team breakdowns: one in-depth article per NHL team.

- Podcast - Shortly after NHL opening night, we will be starting a weekly podcast where we will be summing up the events of the previous week. This will probably be especially helpful for fantasy managers in head to head leagues, but we will of course be covering the gamut in terms of fantasy hockey related information and also regular NHL-related banter.

Your website is SEXY!! I love it!!
I think one of the most interesting things you started was the different draft emphasis approaches. However, you haven’t updated how each team is doing in their respective leagues (ytd records, injurys, player transactions, etc.) I would be very interested in knowing how each team is doing so far into the season and how they compare to the others. Thanks.
