Take a Chance on Rob Schremp
Fantasy managers savvy to the up and coming talent in the NHL have certainly heard the name Rob Schremp being thrown around over the past several seasons. Perhaps some have seen the video of his crafty “stickmanship” during a Skills Competition in Wilkes-Barre. There’s little doubt in anyone’s mind that he is a crafty player with the potential to put up big numbers, however, his game has not transferred as well to the NHL as some had hoped, so he hasn’t gotten the recognition he may have deserved over the past two seasons.
This season started off similarly for Schremp with the Islanders this year; some playing time followed by a series of healthy scratches. However, at this point of the season, He’s seeing between 13 and 15 minutes of ice time, as well as power play duties. Now, while center is the most plentiful position in hockey in terms of fantasy worthy players, managers in deeper fantasy leagues certainly could use the depth to help them maintain their current status or make a playoff run. There’s a good chance Robbie is out there in your league; if you have a hole to fill, take a chance on him right now. He’s playing extremely well.
