Red Wings right winger Jason Williams is probably available in your moderate to deep fantasy league. Do yourself a favor: snatch him up and stash him on IR. He’s at an ultra-thin right wing position and there’s a good chance he’ll jump right into the 2nd line power play unit for Detroit.

Don’t expect Dan Cleary to be floating around on the waiver wire (if he is, certainly snatch him up ahead of Williams). Fantasy hockey managers have become fairly savvy to the production possibilities from the later bloomer, but at least with Williams, he could certainly be of some service to any manager as depth is the name of the game in deeper fantasy hockey leagues.

If you’re in a shallow fantasy hockey league, you can probably find a player with more of an offensive upside than Williams.
