Canucks Re-Sign Steve Bernier to a 2-year Deal

TSN is reporting that Canucks forward Steve Bernier has been re-signed to a 2 year deal worth 4 million dollars.

Fantasy Advice:
It’s never too early to think about next year’s fantasy possibilities. Bernier has a ton of potential to him and seems to be in a place where he can finally hit that 40+ point plateau if given the proper opportunities.

He should be available in the later rounds of most fantasy drafts and could be a nice late round addition for those managers who participate in deeper fantasy leagues. Keep in mind, however, that a lot of his successes in Vancouver have stemmed from the giftedness of his linemates. It the Sedin twins re-sign with Vancouver this off-season, consider Bernier to be a decent late round pick that can be used as a 3rd option at right wing.

If we see the Sedin twins depart from Vancouver, hold off on Bernier until the season begins to see if he is able to live up to the hype that has floated around him for several seasons now.
