TSN is reporting that Los Angeles has traded Patrick O’Sullivan to Carolina For Justin Williams. Carolina then traded O’Sullivan to Edmonton for Erik Cole.
Fantasy Impact on Los Angeles
Justin Williams is currently on the shelf for another month and is extremely high risk, high reward for fantasy owners. However, he is a prime example of a player you a fantasy hockey manager can stash. If Williams is sitting on the waiver wire and you’re a manager who has an extra IR spot available, snatch him up and sit on him. Decent right wingers are hard to come by this late in the season, so it could pay off come playoff time.
Fantasy Impact on Carolina
Erik Cole clicked extremely well with Eric Staal and based on the season he has had so far, he should be available in quite a few leagues. If nobody has jumped on Cole in your league, you’re advised to do it ASAP.
Fantasy Impact on Edmonton
O’Sullivan has had an extremely mediocre season but will factor in to the Oiler lineup down the stretch here. He’s listed as a left wing or center so depending on your service, add him as needed.
