TSN is reporting that Olli Jokinen is headed to Calgary in exchange for Matthew Lombardi, Brandon Prust and a 1st round draft pick.
Fantasy Impact On Calgary
Olli fits right in on a team depleted by injuries. Jokinen gives the Flames that number one center they don’t have right now. If you’ve been patient with Jokinen all season, it looks like your day has finally come. He shouldn’t be available in very many leagues but trying to acquire him right now may be next to impossible without overpaying. Michael Cammalleri, Olli Jokinen and Jarome Iginla on the first line in Calgary? That’s a scary thing.
Fantasy Impact On Phoenix
While Prust has little fantasy value, Lombardi could be used a decent flyer down the stretch here in Phoenix. The only problem with using Lombardi is Phoenix also has Steve Reinprecht, Martin Hanzal, and Kyle Turris at center. Hang on a few games to see where he factors in before making an add/drop.
