Denis Grebeshkov to Miss at Least 2 Weeks

The Associated Press is reporting that Oilers defenseman Denis Grebeshkov will be out of the lineup with an ankle sprain. The injury was the result of a questionable action by Montreal Canadiens center Tomas Plekanec.

Fantasy Impact
With the injury to Lubomir Visnovsky last week and now an injury to the player who was supposed to be his replacement, it leaves the door wide open to pick up Tom Gilbert as he continues to fly below the radar this season in most fantasy leagues. Gilbert has had 13 points since the new year, including a 3-point night last night against the Habs. Granted Souray is still healthy and playing the point in Edmonton as well, but there’s a good possibility that Gilbert is riding the waiver wire in most leagues and if you’re currently in a moderate to deep fantasy league, or if you’re in a shallow league with some injury issues, give Gilbert some serious consideration as he could really take advantage of the situation here over the next 2+ weeks.
