I couldn’t find an e-mail address to mail you my question.

My question is: I’ve been sitting on Nathan Horton to really start picking things up. Can we expect more of the same from him for the rest of the season or should he come out of this funk. What should I do with him on my team (hold him, trade him, sit him for X amount of games etc.), given your answer to my previous question.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the question, Brian.

I have actually gotten several questions regarding Horton. I can honestly say that he will be the face of that franchise in the next couple year. I’m not sure whether or not you have him in a keeper league, but he’ll certainly step up his game once they can develop some team chemistry. Let’s say he hits 60 points this season; he could hit 75-80 easy once they start to gel and get their NHL legs. They are an extremely young group with a nice core of prospects itching to break in to the NHL. Once they get everyone on the same page, Florida will be a scary hockey team.

I would hang on to Horton for another month and see what he does. He certainly won’t leave their top line, so it’s just a matter of time before he shakes this funk. McCabe is back, as Stillman should be here shortly, so see what he does with some added offensive threats to the ice and go from there. I have a feeling we see him finish the year with 60 points, give or take.

He won’t leave that top line, so he’s bound to come out of this sooner or later. Just out of curiosity, is he listed as a center or right winger in your format, and who else do you have at those respective positions?
