TSN is reporting that Rick DiPietro will miss the next 4-6 weeks after having arthroscopic surgery on his knee.
Fantasy Impact:
Well, when it rains, it pours. The Islanders, who only have 2 wins on the season, will have to rely on Joey MacDonald and Yann Danis to fill the void in net. If you own DP and you have not already jumped on either of these tenders, you may want to make a move ASAP. While neither of these tenders will have much value in most formats, those in leagues that require a certain amount of goalie appearances each week to satisfy a requirement may want to consider MacDonald as he will probably see more of the starts between the two. Consider using either tender in emergency situations only.
