NHL News: Teemu Selanne Signs For 2 Years

Per TSN, The Anaheim Ducks have signed right wing veteran Teemu Selanne to a 2 year deal, 5.25 million dollar deal.

Fantasy Impact for Anaheim: Dealing Schneider gave Anaheim the ability to sign Selanne and help their fantasy depth in a big way. Selanne will likely fly on the 2nd line this season with center Brendan Morrison and winger Bobby Ryan. He’ll certainly see his fair share of time on the power play and should easily surpass the 50 point mark. This ups Bobby Ryan and Brendan Morrison’s value a little bit as well. Ryan was a bit of a sleeper coming into the season, and if he can maintain his 2nd line pairing, should be able to benefit nicely from the talent around him. Morrison was acquired this past off-season and has a history of putting up some decent numbers. You may be able to consider him a utility option because of the depth at the center position. 50-60 points for Morrison is certainly attainable given the situation.
